The Photo-Changers
Donna My name is Donna. I like doing the research with Ann. We have been going places since we started doing this work, places like conferences. We have been to a few them and people like our work. We have also been teaching students about doing research and about disability. I have come a long way with the research and I hope I can continue working with Ann and the rest of the Photo-Changers.

Sam My name is Sam. I work at the Harvey’s restaurant at Union Station. And I also live with my family. I am 26 years old. Sometimes in the further future I might be planning on moving someplace else, maybe another province on my own. Before I do that I’ll be getting a lot of help with learning how to take care of my needs and responsibilities for taking care of myself in the future. Because I’m planning on starting a new life in the future, to begin a new chapter. I really enjoy working with the research study with Ann. I am really excited about making a web site to show other people what the research project is all about and to learn about what the group is working on and to know what we have been talking about with the pictures. I have been inviting friends to join our group and our web site. We would like other people to join, too, and to use our web site to talk about important issues. The most exciting part of doing this work is going to conferences and showing our work to the audiences, and talking to, them about our points of view about pictures and people with a disability, and getting them to respond to the pictures and to be more positive. |

Bob My name is Bob. I live in the supported apartment program. I have a social work, Michelle, who helps me very much. I have a job. My boss says I am a good worker. I like to live in my own apartment and having a job. I am a good worker. My boss sometimes leaves me in charge when he is away. |

Renee I have just joined the group. I like it so far and it is going good for me. I come to the meetings almost every wednesday. I am trying to get a job. |

Kaveh My name is Kaveh. I heard about the Photo-Changers group from my friend, Sam. I decided to go to the group meetings and see how it is. I am learning about what the group is doing. I am going to start working on pictures with the group and I am working with them on their web site.
